The Asia-Pacific group is a new group for our Institute. Ideally, those intereseted would be in their 30's so as to grow a younger foundation responsive to the needs of our world from a contemporary perspective. Those interested in our way of life are encouraged to get to know our Institute through personal contact. You might also pray about, and discern with a spiritual director, that "niggling" or restless feeling in the heart that is seeking "more". This time of friendship with the Company is an important part of the discernment journey.

Following this period of friendship, our formal journey to life in the Company of St Ursula commences with a two year period. During this period the person "trials" the life, while at the same time learning about the spirituality of the Company, reflecting on the writings of St Angela, our Constitutions, our way of living. 

After this period of trial and further discernment of the life, the person may then seek temporary commitment, making consecration for two years and then renewing that for a further three years. Finally, after a period of five years of temporary commitment, the person may request life-long consecration.

Our form of "official commitment", that is consecration, is public vows or promises of poverty, chastity and obedience.
